Our goal is to provide intelligent and aspirational students with a summer internship program that introduces them to the San Francisco / Silicon Valley startup scene. Fellows will be placed in a high-potential startup as an intern in either business or engineering. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to attend a weekly speaker series featuring elite techpreneurs and venture capitalists. Fellows will leave with connections, knowledge and understanding of the startup community.
Where?
All internships are located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Fellows will be expected to stay here for the summer. If a Fellow is not local or cannot afford the trip / room / board, Startup Roots companies may provide assistance. Students are encouraged to apply regardless of the logistics of the internship. That said, the goal is to learn and not to earn this summer.
When?
June 2012 to August 2012. Exact dates will vary based on the school schedule of the students. The most common dates are June 7, 2011 to August 13, 2011.
